Pat A. Basu, MD, MBA, an accomplished health care executive and entrepreneur, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America Global, Inc., which includes the Comprehensive Cancer Care Network of Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA®) hospitals and outpatient care centers as well as new business ventures designed to expand access to higher quality and more affordable cancer care.
Dr. Basu will focus on strengthening and expanding the network’s current clinical services, as well as developing new businesses that leverage data, technology, population health and ecosystem partnerships in the fight against cancer.
Dr. Basu is a former Stanford University Medical Center physician and White House Advisor. He recently served as a partner at Chicago Pacific Founders Private Equity and at Pritzker Group Venture Capital. Previously, Dr. Basu held positions on the Executive Leader Team at UnitedHealth Group, as Senior Vice President at Optum, and as Medical Director at telehealth company Doctors on Demand.
