Rhapsody Names New Chief Financial Officer

Updated on May 26, 2023

Rhapsody, a global leader in healthcare data interoperability, has named Jeff Chiumiento as the company’s new chief financial officer. Chiumiento, a highly accomplished leader with a diverse background in strategic finance and leadership roles, will provide strong stewardship to help drive company expansion and ensure sustained profitability.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Jeff Chiumiento to the Rhapsody executive team,” said Erkan Akyuz, chief executive officer of Rhapsody. “Jeff is a positive change agent with a wealth of experience taking technology companies to the next level. As Rhapsody navigates opportunities for partnerships and evolves to meet the needs of our expanding customer base, onboarding a business leader with keen expertise in building and leading high performing teams is key to Rhapsody’s next chapter. We look forward to Jeff’s contributions in helping spearhead and execute strategies for continued success.”

“I am excited to be an integral part of such a prestigious company known globally as a pioneer and leader in healthcare interoperability,” said Chiumiento. “Inspired by Rhapsody’s track record of customer satisfaction and product excellence, I am thrilled to leverage my multifaceted experience and proven track record to help continue to drive Rhapsody’s next phase of progress.”

As CFO, Chiumiento is responsible for overseeing Rhapsody’s global financial operations and optimizing business management. With over twenty years of experience in roles focused on finance, technology, and development, Chiumiento offers acute facility in driving bottom-line productivity. Prior to joining Rhapsody, Chiumiento was interim chief financial officer for Rocket Software, and held executive-level roles at companies including Sonos and NBC Universal, Inc. Chiumiento is taking over from Mark Beucler, Rhapsody’s former CFO. “I would like to thank Mark for helping me lead the business to three strategic acquisitions and very successful recapitalization of the company,” said Erkan.

This news comes on the heels of a recent company rebrand which reclaimed the Rhapsody name to better leverage the brand’s global recognition, trademark protection, and distribution channels. It also builds on Rhapsody’s high performance and recent growth, including strategic mergers and acquisitions to further enhance the company’s interoperability offerings, and key customer wins. Further underlining this momentum, the company’s Rhapsody® and Corepoint® solutions secured the top spots in the Integration Engine category for the 14th consecutive year in the 2023 Best in KLAS®: Software & Services report.
