I founded Songwriter Girl years ago because I wanted to inspire girls and women to inspire each other’s creativity and creative endeavors.
I wanted girls and women to learn about songwriting and about being confident…So confident that they would find no reason to be catty to their fellow sisters, but to talk to each other about each other’s successes in a positive way…not envious, not cutting, but find the joy in being a pro motivator, not just for themselves, but for others.
I didn’t come up with this amazing word, pro motivator, but as a songwriter, I have always loved making words up to fit the feeling of a lyric, so the word promotivator is right up my alley.
Promotivator, not a word we hear too much, but there are companies out there that actually help their clients get motivated to achieve lifelong success.
But you don’t have to be part of a branding company to be a professional pro motivator…you can be an angel pro motivator.
You can pro motivate everyday and here’s how and why…
In the everyday journey of life…without even trying, you are promoting yourself by promoting others. It all begins with the process of building strong relationships and building them by shining the spotlight on someone else, not just yourself.
Promoting yourself you say? Yes…because encouragement goes straight to someone’s heart, including your own.
When you read a social media post that inspires you, do you like/share or comment or repost? Congratulating people on their successes and victories in life not only is a great boost to your own positivity, but it starts to build a relationship with the person posting and with those who follow them.
So, what if you’re not a social media maven? Think of ways you can shine the spotlight on someone in your group of friends. How do you like to be supported? Maybe to be told you’re doing a good job, or for someone to refer you to a fantastic opportunity that is right up your alley.
And tell others if and how they have encouraged YOU! What a beautiful way to pass on the double gift of positivity to someone.
Use social media platforms for good and find ways to be a leader, a creativity sparker who inspires others to pay it forward. Become that someone who’s making the time to promotivate others and at the same time, don’t be surprised if you get promotivated in return.
I hope you enjoyed this article. I would love to hear from you and how you continue to inspire those in your life and work.
Whatever you do, stay inspired!
