DexCare Appoints Jamie Gier as Chief Marketing Officer to Help Fuel Company Growth Trajectory and Establish Brand Category Leadership

Updated on February 13, 2023

DexCare, Inc., the leading data-driven intelligence company focused on creating exceptional healthcare access experiences for everyone, has named Jamie Gier as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to CEO Derek Streat. With over 25 years of experience growing and scaling leading technology brands in healthcare, education, and MarTech, Gier is a seasoned, results-driven marketing leader focused on accelerating market expansion and brand value through effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and customer advocacy programs.

Gier joins DexCare’s executive leadership team amid a pivotal time for both the company and the healthcare industry. Following a momentous year for DexCare, including a $50M Series B funding round led by Transformation Capital and the acquisition of preeminent e-commerce and online merchandising technology company, Womp, Inc., Gier will help to establish DexCare as a category leader in modernizing the way consumers discover, access, and choose their healthcare services – from digital search to booking an appointment.

“Jamie is a valuable addition to our team of veteran healthcare and technology change-makers,” said Derek Streat, CEO. “Jamie has a long track record of successfully scaling companies – particularly within the healthcare technology space – primed for the next level of accelerated growth. We’re excited to see Jamie leverage her combination of consumer, technology, and healthcare expertise to further elevate awareness of DexCare’s impact and ability to improve healthcare access and experience for patients.”

Gier has a distinguished marketing career with some of the world’s leading and emerging brands, ranging from early-stage private equity-backed to Fortune 500 companies. She has held several executive-level marketing leadership positions at IDX, GE Healthcare (which acquired IDX for $1.2B), Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group, and SCI Solutions, a patient access company that was acquired by R1 in 2020. She also held executive positions at leading educational technology company DreamBox Learning and NY-based marketing technology company Ceros. Gier is a founding member of CMO Huddles, a community of B2B marketing leaders whose mission is to drive and share marketing best practices.

“Meaningful impact is what ultimately attracted me to DexCare. The work DexCare is doing to modernize and simplify the way consumers find and access the care they need is significant and impactful for every single patient, including you, me, and our loved ones,” said Gier. “Hospitals and health systems have invested billions of dollars into how care is delivered within the walls of their organization – from talent to EHR technology – but those investments are only as good as the number of people who can access that care. I am thrilled to join the talented team at DexCare to create solutions that matter to people. Because what’s more important to health than being able to seamlessly get the care you need, with ease, when and how you want it?”
