Best Quick and Easy At-Home Workout Moves

Updated on April 18, 2023

Everyone wants to be fit and healthy, but not everyone has the time (or money) to go out and pay for a gym membership, fitness classes, or even supplements such as Randy Jackson supplements. Personally, I like working out at home because I save money on gas and get my workout done in the privacy of my own living room. If this sounds like you, then you’re going to love this article.

Not only is working out at home easy and convenient, but it’s also easy on the wallet. And you don’t need any equipment either! All you need are your bodyweight and a chair or bench to complete these five easy exercises:

1. The Step-Up

The trick to making this exercise easy and efficient is to focus on your form, not how many reps you can do. Keep your chest up and shoulders back, with your head in line with the rest of your body. If you’re stepping onto something higher than just a bench, be sure to keep an eye on where you step next time so that way it doesn’t catch you off-guard.

2. The Push-Up

The push-up is easy to modify for anyone, anywhere. It’s a great lower chest exercise. If you’re just starting out, do this exercise on your knees rather than putting your full bodyweight onto your hands and toes. You can also put your feet up against the wall to prop yourself up if you have trouble getting up or down.

3. The Superman

The name of this exercise might be a little deceiving because it’s easy to think that the Superman is just the push-up, but with your arms and legs straightened behind you. If that were true, then this move would be easy, but it takes more than that to get into position. You need to start in a plank position with your belly button to the sky, then slowly bring each arm and leg out straight behind you one at a time.

4. The Split Squat

This easy exercise is similar to the step-up only it’s more dynamic because your legs are moving during this move. You can do this exercise by stepping forward with one leg, but if you’re just starting out, try to keep both feet on the floor at all times.

5. 1 Mile Walk At Home

This easy exercise is perfect for those who don’t feel comfortable working out alone. You can do this at any time of the day and it only takes about few minutes. The best part? There’s no equipment necessary!

There are many youtube channels which guide you on 1 mile walk at home. One of my favourite is “Walks Of Life”. It shares one of the best walk exercises at home. To know more you can watch below video.

6. The Lunge

The lunge is easy for your lower body much like the split squat is easy for your upper body. Don’t allow yourself to lean forward or backward to complete this exercise; stand tall with your shoulders back and chest out.

Don’t be discouraged if you only do one set of these easy exercises at first! Like I said, focus on your form instead of how many reps you can do. Then once you master the easy moves above, try to complete three sets of ten reps each.

The easy workout moves above are cheap, easy-to-follow, and will only take you about 15 minutes if you do all five easy exercises consecutively with little to no rest in between each move. Remember that one set is ten reps, but don’t try to complete the easy workout moves above consecutively one after another because your muscles need time to recover before attempting them again.
