Banner Health Names New Chief Technology Officer 

New senior leadership role will lead digital transformation to refine customer experience

Michael J. Reagin, CHCIO, MBA, will join Banner Health’s senior leadership team in June, in the newly created role of executive vice president, chief technology officer. Reagin will be responsible for IT, data strategy and digital transformation to ensure digital tools and systems are interconnected in a way that best meets patients’ needs.

“Mike is a very important addition to our senior leadership team. With more than 27 years of experience leading innovation, information technology, and digital strategy for top-ranked health care organizations, Reagin has been on the forefront of identifying and implementing strategies using technology to improve health care quality, patient experience, efficiency, and safety.

He has held leadership roles in health care technology with other top health care organizations, including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Sentara Healthcare/Optima Health Plan, and, most recently, Sharp Healthcare.

Reagin has received numerous industry honors including the 2023 SoCal Orbie CIO in HealthCare, Becker’s 2023 Hospitals and Health System CIOs to Know, Top 100 Chief Information Officers, and Health IT and Imaging Magazine’s Top 25 Most Innovative People in Health Care IT.

He is a certified health care chief information officer through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
