This impressive feat earned them the 35th spot in the ranks of the fastest-growing companies for the state in 2020. Many are familiar with Silicon Valley located within California on the West Coast, but Utah is the western state that holds the Silicon Slopes. The area is well served with transport links, seated right next to the Salt Lake City International Airport that offers a two-hour flight from the Silicon Slopes to Silicon Valley. But it isn’t as crowded as the California areas surrounding Silicon Valley. The cost of living is lower, and the commute is far easier in the Silicon Slopes of Utah. This is drawing a lot of talent and top tech startups that are looking for the growth hacking landscape of innovation without the overcrowded problems of Silicon Valley. For these reasons, there is a talent being pulled to the area.
Utah has landed on lists ranking the top five states for businesses more than once. The historic state isn’t just beautiful, it has been home to a number of key advances, including the first electronic television transmission in 1927. From Atari to Skullcandy and Ancestry, the state has been home to a number of major companies over the years.

When Utah Business Magazine creates the Fast 50 list, they have a lot of top companies to look at. There are plenty of competitive businesses within the Silicon Slopes and surrounding areas of Utah.
The magazine looks solely at annual revenue growth to pinpoint those companies making large strides for the year. The chosen businesses are leaders spanning across many different industries, like food, automotive, furniture, power, credit and so many more.
