Yuji Oishi: One of the biggest challenges I have faced since starting my kuchiguseh therapy initiative has been helping people cultivate positive kuchiguseh as a habit. Many people have told me that it can be difficult to make the switch from negative to positive kuchiguseh, and that it takes time and effort to make it a part of their daily routine.
To overcome this challenge, I have developed several methods to make habituating positive kuchiguseh more enjoyable and easier to stick with. One of these methods is creating a “kuchiguseh dictionary,” or a list of positive kuchiguseh that an individual can refer to and incorporate into their daily language. Another method is to use a smartphone app that can send daily reminders and prompts to use positive kuchiguseh or to create a fun activity such as “kuchiguseh haiku” to encourage the habituation of positive kuchiguseh.
As we enter the new year, it’s a prime opportunity for self-reflection and goal-setting.As you reflect on your journey and set your intentions for the new year, consider incorporating positive self-talk into your daily routine.
