Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas today announced that Kevin Bubel, M.D., Roxanne Lee, M.D. and Yusra Siddiqui, M.D. have joined the ophthalmology practice as cataract and refractive surgeons. The new hires strengthen Kleiman Evangelista’s eye care service offerings and demonstrate the practice’s continued growth across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Bubel, Dr. Lee and Dr. Siddiqui to Kleiman Evangelista,” said Nadia Virani, O.D., vice president of operations for Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas. “Their combined experience and eye care specializations will be a significant asset to our surgical team as we continue to expand our services across North Texas.”
Dr. Bubel is a board-certified cataract and refractive surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist. His work includes seeing patients in clinic and performing surgery. He spent the past six years doing eye surgeries in the suburbs of New York and Chicago. Dr. Bubel was previously an ophthalmologist at Munster Eye Care Associates in Munster, Ind. Dr. Bubel, a Dallas native, completed his undergraduate education at Texas A&M University and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern. He went on to complete his intern year in Las Vegas, before specializing in ophthalmology in Long Island, NY, where he was a chief resident during his final year. He serves as a volunteer for One World Surgery and Austin Street Center, a local homeless shelter.

Dr. Lee is a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She specializes in cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, LASIK/PRK, pterygium excision and chalazion excision. She is passionate about ensuring long-term eye health and superb visual outcomes through her interactions with patients in both the clinic and the operating room.
Dr. Lee was born and raised in Dallas. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Texas at Dallas before receiving her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After medical school, Dr. Lee moved cross-country to continue her medical training on the East Coast. She completed an internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and West before completing her ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York. During her time in New York, Dr. Lee discovered her passion for and skill with the intricacies of intraocular microsurgery. Dr. Lee understands the invaluableness of the sense of sight and is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work with patients on something so impactful on quality of life.

I enjoy taking the time to get to know patients as people and explaining their ophthalmic concerns in ways they can readily understand so patients feel empowered to be involved in their own care.”
Dr. Siddiqui specializes in cataract, cornea and refractive surgery. As a board-certified surgeon, Dr. Siddiqui performs laser-assisted cataract surgery, advanced technology intraocular lenses and LASIK. She also specializes in corneal cross-linking, corneal transplants and glaucoma treatment including minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. She sees patients for medical and surgical treatment of their cataracts, cornea conditions and those interested in minimizing their need for glasses. Before joining Kleiman Evangelista, Dr. Siddiqui was an assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, where she actively participated in medical student and resident education.
Dr. Siddiqui was born in Chicago but raised in Houston where she attended the University of Houston. She was awarded the Terry Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston where she received the Silver Scalpel Award. She then went on to complete a cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear/Harvard Medical School. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
